Forum > Method of showing Group connections when viewing Family info

Our church offers multiple connect groups for members. Once groups are created and members are associated with said groups, will it be possible to view to which groups a member is associated by viewing the overall directory? Also, does a member have to belong to a group in order to view members of that group? We'd like to use this as a way for members interested in learning more about groups to contact someone from this search option.

Hi Jo and Laurie!

There are two ways to view who is in a group (on the app or logged in online as a member):

1) Go to the groups, click on a group, and all of the families / individuals assigned to that group are listed. You do not have to belong to that group to view the group (unless you as an admin make the group private, then it won't show for anyone).

2) You can view an individual and see what groups they belong to at the bottom. You can click on the group to view other members in that group.

You won't be able to search for groups in the family list view (that only searches for individuals and families) but the best way is to view the group list.

Have a great day!
